Commissioning — Where design meets operation.

On-site, remote, and hybrid commissioning. Every device, control loop, and safety system verified before handover — anywhere in the world.

01 / overview

The bit where it has to actually work.

Commissioning is where elegant design and tidy panels meet a running plant. It's also where most projects show their cracks. We treat it as a discipline, not a phase.

Our commissioning engineers travel — across Australia, into the Pacific, and up to Europe — but we also commission remotely. Hybrid models with a local hands-on partner are increasingly the default for international projects.

02 / capabilities

What commissioning covers.

Loop & I/O verification

Before anything moves

  • Point-to-point against I/O list
  • Instrument range, scaling, calibration
  • Loop checks signed and dated

Functional & sequence testing

Stepping through the FDS

  • Manual and auto sequences
  • Mode transitions, pause/resume
  • Alarm cause-and-effect verification

Safety system validation

The non-negotiable

  • E-stop, light curtain, gate testing
  • SIF proof testing per SRS
  • Lockout/tagout verification

Performance & handover

Done means done

  • SAT to customer test pack
  • Operator training and runbook
  • Punch-list to clear, then signed
03 / process

How commissioning runs.

01

Pre-commissioning

Power-on safety, I/O wiring check, instrument calibration, network and historian connectivity verified.

02

Cold & warm commissioning

Sequences with no product, then with product. Tuning loops, alarm thresholds, and operator screens.

03

SAT

Customer-witnessed Site Acceptance Test against the agreed test pack. Defects tracked to closure.

04

Handover & care

Operator training, runbook, as-built drawings, and 30/60/90-day post-cutover support.

06 / faq

Common questions.

Will you commission code we didn't write?

Yes. We commission what's there. We'll flag genuine concerns in writing, but the project doesn't stall while a previous integrator is back-charged.

What does hybrid commissioning actually look like?

Local hands — yours or a partner's — at the panel and on the line, with our engineer driving the sequence remotely. Cuts travel cost without losing the discipline of on-site SAT.

What's the post-cutover support window?

Default 30 days included, with 60 and 90-day options. Most defects either show up in the first week or never.
